One of our Directors, Diane Drummond hosted 24 ladies at the 4th annual NSPCC Fizz & Fabulous Ladies Lunch on Saturday 16th November 2019, at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow.

All of our B-DACS Ladies, Linzi Gormley, Cheryl Turnbull, Nicola Hanrahan, Libby Barnes and Laura Kelly were in attendance.

The event was hosted by Britain’s Got Talent contestant Edward Reid who entertained guests. Clyde 1 presenter Cassi Gillespie closed the event with a DJ set ensuring that the dancefloor was full all afternoon.

Guest speakers included Janette McAllister, Gayle Telfer Stevens & Katie Bruce. Katie (NSPCC Corporate Partnerships Manager) spoke about the work of NSPCC Scotland and the “Call out Bullying” campaign which NSPCC and the WWE Partnership had collaborated on to help young people understand why bullying is never acceptable and what to do if they experience or witness it. It also helps parents recognise the warning signs if their child is being bullied, allowing them to speak to their children about how to combat the problem.

With us all being parents ourselves it was a very emotive and thought-provoking speech. B-DACS was proud to support this event for another year. A staggering £21,604.85 was raised on the day which will go a long way to continuing to support the valuable services that NSPCC provide.
