Meet the team – Diane Drummond

Name – Diane J Drummond.

Job title – Director.

Length of service – Director 16 yrs. Employed Director 8 yrs this year.

Brief outline of duties – Overseeing all business activities to ensure B-DACS are delivering excellent customer service and keeping our business financially sound. I ensure all our business objectives are being met and have a number of workstreams in place for future innovation. I work with a business mentor which is a great opportunity to speak to other business owners who have great business experience.

This year saw a new structure in our team and in week two of the new year the value is evident. Our own Training Academy will remain a focus in 2020 as we want to ensure all our engineers and engineers assistants benefit from our B-DACS in house programme.

We want to remain synonymous with quality in our industry and we strive to deliver excellent service to all our clients. I feel really passionate about our business and want to be recognised in the industry for always doing the right thing.

Specialities/Areas of expertise – My career started in retail then moved to financial services as a senior manager for Lloyds Bank then into construction as a Director of B-DACS Ltd.

Having retail experience taught me about the importance of customer service and how excellent service leads to repeat business.

Financial services taught me real leadership along with core values. These two attributes have really helped me run the business and with Brian’s technical expertise we have the right combination to grow our business.

Spare time activities – Being with my family is important in my spare time. I am an NSPCC fundraising voluntary committee member which is really rewarding. I have a flair for party organising and get asked to organise social events for family and friends.

Proudest achievement in or outside work – My proudest achievement outside work is my family. I have been married for 31 years with two lovely children I am so proud of and a beautiful grandson Harris and one on the way in 2020.

My proudest achievement in work is building our business and employing 25 people who are part of our expanding team.
